Every year we recognize those brands who dedicate themselves to delivering the most comprehensive product content for the retailers and resellers in the SEMA Data network.
“The SEMA Data Excellence Awards recognize and reward manufacturers who invest in delivering the most complete, accurate, and trusted product and technical data. Achieving this distinction gives their brands greater visibility and credibility with the industry,” said Gigi Ho, SEMA vice president of technology, data and strategic initiatives. “For resellers, this ensures they receive standardized, ready-to-use data that powers their systems, point of sale, and eCommerce stores and reduces errors, saves time, and drives more sales.”
Recently, the SEMA Data Scorecard was revised and introduced more stringent requirements for attaining Data Excellence. The revisions moved many data requirements, and required 100% completion across all part numbers, down to the Bronze and Silver scores, and added qualititive requirements for Platinum, such as strict adherence to fitments without part conflicts, and a rich array of product attributes and digital assets.
This ensured that at every level, from Bronze to Platinum, the needs of the resellers at any stage of product launch would be met, from part number setup to robust in-store and online customer experiences.
