As the year comes to an end, I wanted to share some thoughts on the year and share what lies ahead.

SEMA Data has continued to grow in almost every way. More members, both manufacturers and resellers alike, as well as our database, systems and team. And we've got more in store!

At this year's SEMA Data Users Group at the SEMA Show, I was able share our progress over the last three years, including what was launched this year and what's due out for 2023.

In addition to system and memory upgrades we've made this year to support the huge growth in data and data exports, we've made feature updates to PIMS. First is a quick change, moving the NAFTA and tariff codes up to Platinum. This move makes sense to meet the needs of the larger resellers, while helping those manufacturers with largely domestic customers meet the Gold requirements.

For our resellers, we have enabled access to all approved brand scorecards to review fields that may be wanted regardless of the score level. Access can be via the link from the left navigation, or from the Brand Data page by a click on the Scorecard rating (see pic on the right). And for the big project next year, we will be integrating PIMS and PartsHub under a single sign-on.

And for the betterment of our industry, the SEMA Data team has joined important committees, like the Auto Care Technology Standards Committee and the CAWA eCommerce Committee to craft the future of product content and the evolution of the industry data standards.

I look forward to updating you on on all these initiatives at the SEMA Data Users Group virtual meetup in April!

Until then, thank you for your support, participation and partnership over the years, and I wish you peace and joy this holiday season, and a Happy New Year!

Warmest wishes,

Gigi Ho
VP of Operations, SEMA Data
