Every year we recognize those brands who dedicate themselves to delivering the most comprehensive product content for the retailers and resellers in the SEMA Data network.
"The SEMA Data Excellence Awards incentivizes brands to provide the very best, accurate and comprehensive product and technical data for customers," said Gigi Ho, SEMA vice president of technology, data and strategic initiatives. "This enables resellers to receive complete and precise product data to power their systems, point of sale and eCommerce stores."
At last year's SEMA Data Users Group Meetup at the SEMA Show, the announcement that the data Scorecard would undergo an update with more stringent requirements for attaining SEMA Data Excellence status was presented. All tiers' requirements were reviewed and revised to meet the needs of the resellers at any stage of launching products in their warehouse and online stores.
From Bronze containing key fields for part number setup processes to Silver through Platinum catering to different size and capabilities for sales and distribution. Gold now required 100% of key fields, and qualitative measurements and criteria were added to achieve Platinum.
